About TanGental
My name is Geoff Le Pard. Once I was a lawyer; now I am a writer. I've published several books: a four book series following Harry Spittle as he grows from hapless student to hapless partner in a London law firm; four others in different genres; a book of poetry; four anthologies of short fiction; and a memoir of my mother. I have several more in the pipeline.
I have been blogging regularly since 2014, on topic as diverse as: poetry based on famous poems; memories from my life; my garden; my dog; a whole variety of short fiction; my attempts at baking and food; travel and the consequent disasters; theatre, film and book reviews; and the occasional thought piece. Mostly it is whatever takes my fancy.
I avoid politics, mostly, and religion, always. I don't mean to upset anyone but if I do, well, sorry and I suggest you go elsewhere.
These are my thoughts and no one else is to blame. If you want to nab anything I post, please acknowledge where it came from.
Oh! Aren’t they lovely 🌹🌹

OMG, those cubs are so cute. The parents must feel safe in your garden to bring their cubs to meet you! How special!

They are. They watch Dog from the neighbours then when he’s gone indoors they climb through the fence.

Lovely! I often see urban foxes, but rarely the cubs – only once. 3 or 4 were playing with a piece of plastic which they had pulled from a bin. I had to rap on the window to shoo them so that I could retrieve the dangerous plastic.

Indeed. Funny how it’s only human babies that are ugly and boring (apart for ones own).

Fox cubs do have quantity of poop that would be concerning.

They just don’t know when to stop…

You could live trap them and mama and move them to another spot.

A specialist Company has to do this and finding somewhere that will take them isn’t easy given their numbers. Again a specialist can kill them as they are not protected

Does your area have wildlife officials, that could move them to a less populated area?

The local authority will if you can show they are a pest. Otherwise you’d need to use a specialist Company. They can trap or kill foxes as they are not protected.

Oh no, I meant not to kill them but to put them in a safer area. Luckily, they found a safe haven at your place 🙂

First I thought that as here you had bear cubs. We don’t on our property, but they are flourishing in Connecticut right now. I heard that the fox had babies in the neighbor’s shed, but haven’t seen them.
