I know a fair few of you shared the journey last year to my son’s wedding. This is a video that’s been made of the day and I thought you might enjoy it. It is 25 minutes long so you may want to dip in only.
I make a few cameo appearances – the man with the panama – but the star of the show, apart from the happy couple is my fellow outlaw, Racheal’s father Sohrab and great and splendid fellow he is. His is the first voice you hear.
My name is Geoff Le Pard. Once I was a lawyer; now I am a writer. I've published several books: a four book series following Harry Spittle as he grows from hapless student to hapless partner in a London law firm; four others in different genres; a book of poetry; four anthologies of short fiction; and a memoir of my mother. I have several more in the pipeline.
I have been blogging regularly since 2014, on topic as diverse as: poetry based on famous poems; memories from my life; my garden; my dog; a whole variety of short fiction; my attempts at baking and food; travel and the consequent disasters; theatre, film and book reviews; and the occasional thought piece. Mostly it is whatever takes my fancy.
I avoid politics, mostly, and religion, always. I don't mean to upset anyone but if I do, well, sorry and I suggest you go elsewhere.
These are my thoughts and no one else is to blame. If you want to nab anything I post, please acknowledge where it came from.
I so enjoyed the very professional…. video of your son ‘s wedding to his beautiful bride. May they be as happy as I have been in my long marriage of 69 years.! Thank you .
There are a few jokes about ‘time served’ etc., Like you, my other half has a great sense off humour – an attribute I think necessary for a happy union! Cheers.
Amazing! What a wedding that was and so so very cool that it took place in your garden. That makes everything even more special. You got such a beautiful daughter-in-law in addition to your handsome son.
I thoroughly enjoyed this! Thank you for sharing. God Bless this wonderful couple and the family and friends present and yet to be, forever and ever. Amen! ❤
I LOVED it!! A fairy tale wedding if there ever was one. The garden was the perfect setting and all the work you put into grooming it and getting it in perfect condition, paid off. I wish the lucky couple all the best. xo
Indeed he has to give talks and lectures fir work so that probably helps. And Toby – beardy best man – is head of Maths at his secondary school so he’s used to working a crowd!!
He does. His father was from near Kolkutta in southern India and his mother is German. Their surname – Panday – is a well known Indian one but originates from what was then Persia.
Utterly wonderful. Grateful to see that Sam definitely is carrying on the LePard family sense of humor. While you looked dapper, the textiliste looked radiant.
I am going to watch this tomorrow, for sure, the first few moments have me hooked! Someone very clever did this video.

Yep, the fact Mrs LP still laughs at the same anecdotes helps. It could be because they’re never the same twice…
