I have, at last decided to bite an awkward shaped bullet and publish some of my poetry. I have a title (see above), a cover (below) and enough poems to warrant its being called a ‘book’. Publication date is still a little vague but over the next month or so.

This little piece is to ask if anyone fancies a copy with a view to reading and reviewing the same when it is published. Ditto if anyone would like me to do a guest post where I’d happily include a poem and some Q&As or whatever you fancied, even a bespoke poem on a theme you chose (why am I suggesting that? I’m mad!).
To whet your appetites – or put you off totally – here is one of my selection….
Bloody Men
(based on Bloody Men by Wendy Cope)
Bloody men are like the bloody bus.
At first sight, your little heart may soar
They’re going your way! But just fuss
For change, and their foot’s to the floor,
Leaving you so mystified.
It’s enough to make you grind your gears
And scream. But then one will stop
And smile, and you wonder why your tears
Are a better brake than any kind of strop –
However much it’s justified.
You know I’m here for you his Geoffleship! Love the cover!!!

Made me remember a legendary piece of graffiti.
On the introduction of bus request stops a little verse was written to explain what to do.
‘Face the Driver, Raise your hand
Be assured, He’ll understand”
To which an addition was made
‘He’ll understand, the bloody cus.
But will he stop the bleeding bus.’
