Inside And Out #carrotranch #flashfiction #loganandmorgan

This week’s #carrotranch prompt is

July 16, 2020, prompt: In 99 words (no more, no less), write a story that expresses the phrase, “scream inside your heart.” Who is involved and why is the scream contained? Go where the prompt leads

‘Can I ask you something, Logan?’

‘Would it stop you if I said no?’

‘Do you ever scream inside your heart?’

‘Hmm. I mumble in my stomach a bit if I eat broccoli.’

‘I’m talking about screaming in…’

‘And when you made me do that jog, my buttocks screamed for about a week…’

‘No, listen, I’m serious…’

‘… and my uncle Barney has a heart murmur…. which I suppose might become a scream if he doesn’t stick to that raw radish diet…’

‘Logan…’

‘No.’

‘Never?’

‘If I’m that passionate about something it has to come out.’

‘Me too.’

‘I know.’

  2. Charli Mills says:

A raw radish diet could be an unpleasant cure, Geoff. I do think these two are bonding on their journey.

  3. Let screams out, yes… but should these two be let out?
