Charli Mills’ latest prompt is
December 28, 2017 prompt: In 99 words (no more, no less) write a story about a wishing star. It can be central to the story or used in a different way. You can have a character interact or not. Go where the prompt leads.
‘What you looking at, Morgan?’
‘The stars, Logan.’
‘Wishing stars?’
‘Nah. More wondering.’
‘Wandering?’
‘That too, but mostly wondering.’
‘What about?’
‘The human condition. My feet. Scallops.’
‘All together or separate?’
‘See, the human condition is a mystery, right? I know a lot about it and lots I don’t know. While I know all there is to know about my feet, unlike the scallops who’re unlikely to know my feet at all.’
‘True. And the stars made you think this?’
‘Not really, they just popped into my head.’
‘I’ve made a wish, Morgan.?’
‘Yes?’
‘I wish you’d talk sense.’
For regulars of my blog and my attempts at Charli’s prompts you’ll know I’ve given a lot of time to Mary North and her family. Well, she’s gone on a break just now and instead Morgan and Logan, two dialogue obsessed, philosophically inclined rough sleepers have decided to take their place. I hope you enjoy their musings
Always enjoy the musings you create!

LOL. I can always count on you for the unexpected, Geoff. You had me chuckling. But I might not enjoy eating scallops any more… because I won’t be able to think of them without thinking of feet.
Happy New Year!

The wandering scallop is the think of nightmares… maybe I should have suggested him for your series!

They’re happy to be welcomed but I think at heart they’re a little misanthropic…

I hope Mary enjoys her break. It will be good getting to know Morgan and Logan and to try to make sense out of their philosophising.

They’ll be as insightful as they are incomprehensible
