A second go at Sue’s prompt, with a different genre

‘I tell you it’s not easy.’
‘Oh come on Vera you’re looking after one princess. How difficult is that?’
‘Well she won’t come out of that bloody tower for starters. I’m up and down those stairs 27 times a day.’

‘Keeps you trim. Why so many?’
‘2 are meals. The rest is combing her hair.’
‘You’ve not seen it, have you?’
‘No, but…’
’37 metres.’
‘You’re kidding?’
‘Nope. I go up with the garden rake, stick it in by her parting, jump out the window and abseil down. It’s the only way to comb it. It takes 25 trips and it’s playing havoc with my fibroids.’
‘Well, yes I can see that’s pretty exhausting. But in the overall scheme….’
‘Then there’s bath time.”
‘Surely she’s old enough to bath herself.’
‘So why…?’
‘Have you any idea how long it takes to unblock the plug hole?’

Fantastic. One can also assume from this that Rapunzel and her Prince were those hoity toity types too good to use the servant’s stairs.

  7. Norah says:

Love it! Hilarious! Those drains would definitely block very quickly.
