4 Easy Steps to Seriously Awesome Blog Post Photos

Having been shown how to both chose pictures for your blog but also add text by Sacha I gave it a try last week. Two bloggers asked for guidance. I’m delighted to say Sacha has now posted on this very subject ( the power of a good nag) though she threw me a curved ball and had me add a para at the end.

Sacha Black

Blog Post PhotosBlog post pictures. They are, if you don’t know how to do them, a bit of a mystery.

I have had a couple of lovely compliments recently about the photos I use to start my posts, (thank you, and blush!). But what it’s resulted in, is me sharing my photo tweaking knowledge with others. So I thought it might be useful to share that knowledge with everyone else.

If you would like to know how to make photos like mine, or ones in your own style, then read on.

About TanGental

My name is Geoff Le Pard. Once I was a lawyer; now I am a writer. I've published several books: a four book series following Harry Spittle as he grows from hapless student to hapless partner in a London law firm; four others in different genres; a book of poetry; four anthologies of short fiction; and a memoir of my mother. I have several more in the pipeline. I have been blogging regularly since 2014, on topic as diverse as: poetry based on famous poems; memories from my life; my garden; my dog; a whole variety of short fiction; my attempts at baking and food; travel and the consequent disasters; theatre, film and book reviews; and the occasional thought piece. Mostly it is whatever takes my fancy. I avoid politics, mostly, and religion, always. I don't mean to upset anyone but if I do, well, sorry and I suggest you go elsewhere. These are my thoughts and no one else is to blame. If you want to nab anything I post, please acknowledge where it came from.

    What doe TanGental mean?

It means (a) I can’t spell because strictly it should be tangential (b) when I was thinking of a title my wife said I was always off at a tangent so it seemed apposite (c) when I was typing it into WordPress I had this mad urge to make it TanGental as if I was running two words together. My pretensions know no bounds. Once out there I left it alone. So, in summary it means ‘sad old fool trying to be hip and trendy – the blogging equivalent of dad dancing’.

Hahahaha. I think you’d best leave it alone. As it I thought you had some meaningful event in your past that this combo word represents. As it stands gental is a name of a drug in many countries. In the US it has a different name.

I didn’t know that and am now off to find out more. My less cerebral, more scatological friends rather assume the missing ‘i’ in ‘tan gental’ should have been between the ‘n’ and the ‘t’ not after the ‘t’… but then it sounds like it’s the preparations for a porn movie…
