Well, I made it. Best part of two weeks and no blog posts, a few prompts and challenges, some comments when the WiFi behaved but I did as I was asked. So there’s a bit of catching up to do. Some walks to tell you about, some paeans of praise for the Hebrides, a book review for a much loved fellow blogger, the odd musings on adverbs and toilets, culling words and being optimistic and a little story or two. For today, here are a couple of picture to whet the appetite.

I took a video or two. See what you think

And finally, while I try and avoid stats I’m amazed that in my absence my blog has had nearly 500 views. 12 days of inertia. I’m not sure what to make of it but I’m really rather touched.

About TanGental
My name is Geoff Le Pard. Once I was a lawyer; now I am a writer. I've published several books: a four book series following Harry Spittle as he grows from hapless student to hapless partner in a London law firm; four others in different genres; a book of poetry; four anthologies of short fiction; and a memoir of my mother. I have several more in the pipeline.
I have been blogging regularly since 2014, on topic as diverse as: poetry based on famous poems; memories from my life; my garden; my dog; a whole variety of short fiction; my attempts at baking and food; travel and the consequent disasters; theatre, film and book reviews; and the occasional thought piece. Mostly it is whatever takes my fancy.
I avoid politics, mostly, and religion, always. I don't mean to upset anyone but if I do, well, sorry and I suggest you go elsewhere.
These are my thoughts and no one else is to blame. If you want to nab anything I post, please acknowledge where it came from.
It’s funny but I noticed about a week in and thought damn my inbox has been empty! Then I realised why! 😋

I could feel that wind

There’s another clip that sounds like I’m inside a jumbo jet testing range. Happily it was a warm wind that was leaving you Hampshire Hogs roasting on the spit so very pleasant.

Wow, looks like you have been in a beautiful part of the world Geoff. Great photos. Hope you had a great time and I look forward to hearing all about it.
Welcome back. I’m off to Wales today and back to the house where there is little, if any wifi, so I may be disappearing again. It has nothing to do with you…honest 🙂

You say that…. we will miss you if we manage the catch up tomorrow and you’re still a wifi free zone.

Welcome back! Amazing views! What were the temps like? That water would have sorely tempted me to swim…

Well at between 15 and 21c they were fine for all the moving around we did and a lot better than the 36c they had in London last week. And the Atlantic is warmed by the Gulf Stream so it’s cold but not bitter.

Ooo, I’d be in that water in a minute. Since I grew up in New England, cold water doesn’t phase me!

Rather you than me, I’m afraid. I’m not at all aquatic let alone chilly aquatic…

No, not for me Rachel. Noelle Grainger who blogs at Sayling Away asked me the same question. What is it with you tough women and the sea!!!?

It just looks so inviting. Although I had a dream that I was swimming in the sea last night and there was a shark!
