A while back, we were hunting for a family motto and the most appropriate was ‘nothing good comes of a day that begins by having to get out of bed’. Yesterday was, for me, that day.
Whenever I went outside, it poured with rain. I tried some writing and it wouldn’t come right. I fiddled and faddled at some much needed and long overdue domestics and got the square root of nowhere generally. So I thought: cook, damn you. Cheer yourself up. Do your mango cake and share the LURVE. Oh and a cheeky little freshly baked white loaf wouldn’t go amiss as an accompaniment to the mushroom and pearl barley soup I made a couple of days ago.
Hmm. Result? See below.
At least they taste great. I’ll post the recipes when I’m feeling happier.
Haha Geoff!! Don’t worry we all have days like that!! I love reading a good old rant keep em up!!!
